What We Do

The Alliance for Early Success works with early childhood policy advocates at the state level to ensure that every child, birth through eight, has an equal opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

Because many of the programs that contribute to early childhood development and success are administered by states, the Alliance focuses on connecting, equipping, and funding state early-childhood policy advocates who push for policy that improves and scales early-childhood success—specifically for kids birth through eight.

The Alliance receives investments from some of the nation’s leading early-childhood and anti-poverty investors and deploys them to provide highly customized support for – and strategic investment in – state-level advocacy for large-scale and sustained health, family, and learning outcomes.

Guided by our Birth to Eight State Policy Framework, the Alliance for Early Success provides state early childhood advocates the support they can leverage for impact in their stateExplore the list in the side navigation to learn more about how our work is paying off for every child in every state.

"The most important thing I can convey to you and your Alliance colleagues is that your support makes me and Maryland Family Network stronger, smarter, and more effective in ways that transcend financial resources, technical assistance, and collegial guidance — as deeply valued as those things are. There’s a “whole” to the Alliance that’s much greater than the sum of its parts. I’m proud that I can say that from experience and excited to see all that we have yet to achieve."
