Education Commission of the States

Education Commission of the States serves as a partner to state policymakers by providing personalized support, unbiased information, and opportunities for collaboration. They work with governors, legislators, chief state school officers, state board members, higher education officials, business leaders, program administrators, and teachers. The organization covers all education issues from pre-k through college.

Alliance-Funded State Advocacy Support

Education Commission of the States is identifying and providing technical assistance in two states to advance pre-k-through-third-grade policies and investments that increase children’s access to high-quality early education.

The states are being identified based on need, opportunity, and ECS’s relationships with its Commissioners and other policymakers. ECS is supporting pre-k-through-three strategies in states through their policy research, legislative tracking, convenings, and responses to states’ requests.
