The State of Birth Through Eight

Meet our allies. Select a state to get a closer look at advocates’ priorities, what we’ve accomplished together, and—most important— learn what still needs to be done.

In all 50 states and the District of Columbia, we are successful when state advocates are successful, so our mission is to provide the connections and resources that help them win the policies that help every child succeed. Our allies know what the children in their states need. We do everything we can to help them achieve it.

Pivoting for COVID-19

As our allies pivot to address the COVID-19 pandemic, the Alliance for Early Success is also pivoting in recognition that so much has changed and there is so much to do. The two key aspects of our response to grantees are:

Flexibility – Grantees can re-prioritize, re-allocate, or otherwise re-direct our support to best address both their capacity and the needs at the state level.

Reporting and Proposals – Time spent on paperwork is time not spent responding to threats to the supports for children and their families. We are significantly streamlining reporting and, in many cases, eliminating steps all together.
