While our allies are primarily concerned with the policies enacted by the lawmakers and agencies in their states, they also understand that federal legislation and funding streams are an essential part of the formula for strong and equitable early childhood policy.
StateFedConnect is an ongoing workstream in which they hear regular updates on federal early childhood policy, tips on how to better connect with their federal delegations, and experiences from their counterparts in other states.
This strong information loop increases the likelihood that federal policymakers hear from the experts on the young children in their state—and that they act on that knowledge.
