Misinformed or Disinformed? Navigating a Corrupted Media Ecosystem

When our political and media environments foster uncertainty, misinformation can become a weaponized tactic–and not just a byproduct of unintentional messaging or evolving knowledge. In this session, we learned from communications group Odd Duck about the keys to navigating and countering disinformation, including getting behind the narrative to understand the emotions and values at play. 

Plus, we heard how North Dakota allies are using Odd Duck’s frameworks to build intentional narratives that combat disinformation, engage skeptical policymakers more constructively, and create healthy, thriving communities.
