New England Regional Early Childhood Advocate Convening

October 29-30 | Springfield, MA

The New England Regional Early Childhood Advocate Convening brought together advocates and funders to facilitate cross-state learning, align advocacy and policy goals, and build relationships. Topics included coalition building, family economic security policy, healthy families policy, and case studies of early childhood advocacy by New England states.

The Alabama Experience

September 24-27 | Montgomery, AL

The Alliance offered state grantee organizations the chance to take a shared journey designed to build their team’s racial equity muscle and catalyze new ways of working back home. Close to 200 advocates gathered in Montgomery, Alabama, for the Alabama Experience, an intensive three days that incorporated the Equal Justice Initiative’s Legacy Sites.

October 25-27 | Charlotte, NC

Hundreds of advocates and early childhood policy experts gathered in Charlotte for CONNECT23. The year’s theme—Stronger Advocacy Together—is what CONNECT is all about. We shared strategies, successes, and setbacks with our peers from across the country and strengthened the relationships that we lean on throughout the year.

National Conference on the Early Care and Education Profession

September 24-25 | Milwaukee, WI

In 2019, the Alliance brought together early care and education advocates, researchers, state leaders and educators together for a national conference about how to better support and advance the ECE profession.
