2024
The New England Regional Early Childhood Advocate Convening brought together advocates and funders to facilitate cross-state learning, align advocacy and policy goals, and build relationships. Topics included coalition building, family economic security policy, healthy families policy, and case studies of early childhood advocacy by New England states.
The Alliance offered state grantee organizations the chance to take a shared journey designed to build their team’s racial equity muscle and catalyze new ways of working back home. Close to 200 advocates gathered in Montgomery, Alabama, for the Alabama Experience, an intensive three days that incorporated the Equal Justice Initiative’s Legacy Sites.
2023
Hundreds of advocates and early childhood policy experts gathered in Charlotte for CONNECT23. The year’s theme—Stronger Advocacy Together—is what CONNECT is all about. We shared strategies, successes, and setbacks with our peers from across the country and strengthened the relationships that we lean on throughout the year.
2022
After a two-year hiatus, CONNECT returned in 2022. Allies from all 50 states united in Chicago for a long-awaited opportunity to share updates, strategies, and resources.
2019
More than 200 Alliance allies gathered in Atlanta to build connections, share successes and setbacks, and learn together—all in support of accelerating their advocacy for state policy that support young children and their families.
In 2019, the Alliance brought together early care and education advocates, researchers, state leaders and educators together for a national conference about how to better support and advance the ECE profession.
