Film Screening of REFUGE
A USA TODAY Must-See Film for 2023, REFUGE follows two men with very different stories. One is Chris, a small-town white nationalist with a deep hate for Muslims that traces back to his tour in Afghanistan. The other is Heval, a Kurdish Muslim heart doctor who serves a small town filled with refugees. The film follows both as their stories intertwine on the increasingly polarized and isolated American landscape. REFUGE uncovers what is possible when we leave the security of our tribes–and what is at stake for our country if we don’t.
