The Development Director provides strategic leadership and oversight of Children’s Alliance’s statewide network of supporters and fundraising portfolio, advancing their mission to drive racially equitable state and federal policy change. Children’s Alliance’s funders include statewide and national organizations.
This role will hire and supervise the Donor Relations Manager. With support from this position, the Development Director leads all fundraising activities, including identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, and stewarding individual, corporate, and foundation donors. They also plan and execute annual fundraising campaigns, special initiatives, and events.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, the ability to design and implement effective donor acquisition strategies, and a talent for leading personalized donor engagement efforts. The Development Director is a key member of the Children’s Alliance Leadership Team, which advises on operational decisions and contributes to financial and governance strategies.
High-quality data, research, and analysis are essential for Kansas Action for Children (KAC) to inform and advocate for public policies that improve the well-being of Kansas kids. By using evidence-based approaches, KAC can better understand the challenges facing children and families, identify disparities, and develop effective, data-driven policy solutions.
The Data and Policy Analyst conducts research and data analysis about the well-being of Kansas children and families from state, national, and government sources.
Kansas Action for Children is the state partner for KIDS COUNT, a nationwide network organized by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. By providing high-quality data and trend analysis through its KIDS COUNT Data Center, the Annie E. Casey Foundation seeks to enrich local, state, and national discussions concerning ways to secure better futures for all children — and to raise the visibility of children’s issues through a nonpartisan, evidence-based lens.
The Data and Policy Analyst develops the data collection plan and directly collects and extracts data from Census, state agencies, and other resources. They create and manage the production and distribution of KIDS COUNT publications and products, including the comprehensive data book, data snapshots, and other special reports. Additionally, this person works with colleagues to develop strategies to inform key stakeholders, policymakers, agencies, the media, and partners in the network about data findings, trends, and policy implications.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with a mission to promote high-quality early learning for each and every child, birth through age 8, by connecting practice, policy, and research.
NAEYC is seeking a strategic, knowledgeable, and collaborative State Policy Director to lead their state-level policy and advocacy work. This role is instrumental in advancing the mission to support the ECE profession and improve access to high-quality early learning by shaping and influencing state policies across the country.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in early childhood education, a strong understanding of state policymaking processes, and a proven ability to engage diverse stakeholders-including policymakers, advocates, and educators.
The Policy Strategist will strengthen NAFCC’s policy capacity by leading legislative and regulatory analysis, developing state and national policy positions, and supporting implementation of the state-based advocacy framework. This position will play a critical role in monitoring state and federal policy developments, preparing NAFCC for rapid-response actions, and ensuring family child care educators’ voices are centered in national policy conversations.
The Policy Strategist will represent NAFCC in external convenings, provide technical assistance to state leaders and educators, and help translate complex policy issues into accessible materials and communications.
ZERO TO THREE is the fiscal sponsor for The Prenatal to 5 Policy Network, a multi-issue group of national organizations engaged in strategic, coordinated action to protect and advance federal programs and policies essential for expectant parents, babies, young children, families and their communities that support them.
The Prenatal to 5 (P5) Policy Network Officer will lead and manage the Prenatal-to-five Network, a cross-organizational body of 30+ national organizations working collectively to protect and advance federal policies and programs serving the P-5 population. The P5 Network Officer will strategically maximize the Network vision, strategy, membership, and partnerships to protect and advance investments in expectant parents, babies, young children, their families, and the providers who care for them by developing strategic vision, aligned priorities and goals, defining milestones and measures of success, and effectively implementing the Network’s goals and objectives in partnership with the Network’s governance body and ZERO TO THREE leadership team.
*This position is contingent upon grant funding. Funding is currently secured for a period of two years, with plans for expansion.
The Child Care Systems Analyst supports First Children’s Finance’s growing analytical work in support of ECE systems change. FCF’s National Systems team provides research, consulting, and capacity-building services to child care systems leaders working to increase the supply and sustainability of child care businesses. FCF is seeking a curious and flexible systems thinker with experience and commitment to using data to inform systems change. The Child Care Systems Analyst will assist with developing and implementing research and evaluation plans across National System projects by generating, collecting, organizing, and analyzing data on policies, practices, funding streams, and trends. The Child Care Systems Analyst will work with FCF clients. This work includes supporting cities, counties, states, Tribal Nations, and other entities as they seek to assess the business side of child care.
