The Policy Center at ZERO TO THREE, a nonpartisan, research-based resource for policymakers and advocates on the unique developmental needs of infants and toddlers, is seeking a Policy Research Analyst (Analyst) to support the execution of an equity-driven, coordinated, and cross-cutting policy research agenda that shapes, supports, and advances ZERO TO THREE’s comprehensive policy agenda.
The Analyst reports to the Policy Research Director and will support the research and data needs of ZERO TO THREE’s comprehensive policy agenda and strategies by providing research and analysis, compiling and organizing data, and using innovative approaches to present information in actionable and engaging formats. The Analyst produces high-quality content that captures strong and thoughtful insights and recommendations based on thorough analysis of data, evidence, and research across the field. The Analyst works collaboratively and thoughtfully with colleagues across the organization and within the Policy Center to implement the policy research agenda and will use a wide variety of data tools, formats, and platforms to create materials and content.
Afton Partners seeks a Director to lead and support consulting engagements with state and local agencies seeking to design innovative approaches to ECE funding and governance. This position will manage and guide teams to achieve the goals of Afton’s consulting engagements as well as contribute individual expertise.
The successful applicant will have expertise in ECE funding policy, deeply understand the complexities of ECE governance, and have a demonstrated interest in innovative approaches to ECE system-wide improvement. This position requires significant experience in and understanding of ECE programs and their associated funding streams, requirements, and policy context. Experience supporting ECE programs at multiple levels – federal, state, regional, local, etc. – will be helpful, as is experience with Birth-3 programs and programs supporting focal populations, such as children with special education and support needs and multilingual learners.
Director of Research
The Director of Research is an integral part of the Policy & Programs team, and leads Voices’ efforts to collect data, identify trends, and conduct research to model possibilities and inform policy pertaining to the well-being of young people. The Research Director is a go-to expert on youth well-being data and provides data analysis and research expertise and support for the Voices staff and external partners, including interpreting and translating data for diverse audiences and representing Voices on state-level committees and work groups. The Research Director plans and executes research studies on issues of youth well-being using a variety of data sets, including Census and state agency data. The position manages the KIDS COUNT Data Center for Virginia and serves as a key liaison to the national KIDS COUNT network. Through data analysis and visualization, the position helps to build evidence and support for public policies and legislation that achieve positive and equitable outcomes for young people.
Research Manager
The Research Manager is an integral part of the Policy & Programs team, and leads Voices’ efforts to collect data, identify trends, and conduct research to model possibilities and inform policy pertaining to the well-being of young people. The Research Manager is skillful at providing youth well-being data and data analysis and research expertise to support Voices staff and external partners, including interpreting and translating data for diverse audiences. The Research Manager may attend or present at state-level committees and work groups. The Research Manager executes research studies on issues of youth well-being using a variety of data sets, including Census and state agency data. The position manages the KIDS COUNT Data Center for Virginia and serves as a liaison to the national KIDS COUNT network. Through data analysis and visualization, the position helps to build evidence and support for public policies and legislation that achieve positive and equitable outcomes for young people.
The Senior Policy Analyst will lead Voices’ policy advocacy campaigns across its strategic goals in family economic security and child welfare, in alignment with Voices’ belief that the strongest predictor of family involvement in the child welfare system is poverty. The Senior Policy Analyst will drive statewide, systems-level change in Virginia’s family support systems through advancing policies such as a state-level Child Tax Credit, expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit, and improving and expanding public benefits, including TANF, SNAP, and Guaranteed Basic Income (GBI) programs. The position will also advance transformative policies in the child welfare system through increasing legislative support for robust parent legal representation in family court and expanding support for older youth transitioning to adulthood.
Gary Community Ventures, in partnership with a group of Colorado funders, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director to lead a multi-year statewide initiative aimed at making child care more affordable for low- and middle-income families in Colorado. This multi-year initiative aims to elevate the need for affordable child care and build the public and political will among stakeholder groups to support child care affordability leading up to and through the eventual passage of a 2026 ballot measure to unlock approximately $400M-$600M in annual public revenue dedicated to lowering the cost of childcare.
The Director will lead all phases of this initiative from design and pre-launch, to stakeholder engagement through successful voter adoption and policy launch, with support from initiative staff, consultants, and campaign experts. This role reports to the initiative core funders with day-to-day contact and support from Gary Community Ventures. This role will require strong execution, creativity, and the ability to lead diverse stakeholders.
Note they do not expect the Director to lead the political campaign. The political strategy will be led by political consultants and executed in partnership with the Director and all of the assets built as part of this multi-year initiative.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Women’s Foundation of Alabama will provide visionary leadership, strategic direction, and operational management to drive research, advocacy, and grantmaking for the economic empowerment of women.
The next leader will bring a demonstrated commitment and ability to center equity and justice for women. The President & CEO will be a strategic thinker and an effective fundraiser who offers political influence and understands how to develop and sustain bi-partisan collaborative relationships.
FCF is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) who is a talented manager and leader whose approach is strategic, collaborative, and characterized by the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others to achieve the goals of FCF. The CPO leads two key functions Program Development & Innovation and Policy & Systems. Program Development and Innovation includes development of the programs and services offered by FCF, professional development and support for implementation staff, impact evaluation and continuous improvement and innovation of those programs and services. Policy and Systems includes FCF’s consulting offerings to public sector leaders implementing and improving early care and education systems as well as FCF’s role as a key national voice and expert on early childhood systems. The CPO is a thought leader and a self-starter. This individual will possess highly developed program development, evaluation and policy skills and be creative, curious, innovative, and possess a continuous improvement mindset.
The Development and Communications Director plays a key role in accomplishing the Children’s Alliance ambitious mission to create an equitable future for kids by leading efforts to secure financial support. With the support of the development team, the Development and Communications Director manages all fundraising activities including prospecting, cultivating, and stewarding individual, corporate, and foundation gifts and coordinating the annual fundraising campaigns, special initiatives and events.
