The Alliance for Early Success announced today that Courtney D. Lee has joined the organization as its Deputy Director of Staff, Equity, and Culture. In this newly created position, Lee will lead the development and implementation of the Alliance’s human resources strategy and further develop the organization’s workplace culture of purpose, continuous learning, innovation, and belonging.
Before joining the Alliance, Lee was CEO of the consulting and capacity-building firm Simple Leadership and Life Consulting, where she led numerous leadership teams through human resources and organizational projects.
Prior to this work, Lee served as Chief of Staff at Education Leaders of Color, a membership organization dedicated to elevating the leadership, voices, and influence of people of color in education and to leading more inclusive and sustainable efforts to improve education. She has also served as Director of Talent and Culture at TNTP, a national nonprofit working to ensure that students from underresourced families and traditionally marginalized groups get equal access to effective teachers.
“I am thrilled that we were able to attract Courtney to this new position,” says Helene Stebbins, Executive Director of the Alliance. “Her approach to team development is deeply rooted in purpose, equity, communication, and belonging, and we are all excited about what her joining us means for the trajectory of the Alliance.”
