DEPUTY DIRECTOR, STAFF, EQUITY, AND CULTURE
As the Alliance’s Deputy Director of Staff, Equity, and Culture, Courtney leads the development and implementation of the Alliance’s human resources strategy and fosters the ongoing development of the organization’s workplace culture of purpose, continuous learning, innovation, and belonging.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Lee was CEO of the consulting and capacity-building firm Simple Leadership and Life Consulting, where she led numerous leadership teams through human resources and organizational projects. Prior to this work, Lee served as Chief of Staff at Education Leaders of Color, a membership organization dedicated to elevating the leadership, voices, and influence of people of color in education and to leading more inclusive and sustainable efforts to improve education. She has also served as Director of Talent and Culture at TNTP, a national nonprofit working to ensure that students from underresourced families and traditionally marginalized groups get equal access to effective teachers.
Courtney has a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Northwestern University.
