Responsive Support Provider Spotlight Form

One of the Alliance’s key strategies for achieving our objectives is accelerating the effectiveness of state advocacy organizations, and one of the important tools for this is support national experts who can, in turn, support them in their work. These national organizations and consultants offer their expertise and support to state advocates and track the requests they receive and the responsive support they deliver.

But in order for states to request support from a national responsive support provider, they first have to be aware of the offering. Effective national support providers build this awareness by monitoring the Alliance’s listserv, participating in Alliance groups and webinars, combing the Alliance’s 50-State Report, asking their Alliance policy director for leads — and then reaching out to states who might need the customized help.

The Alliance is also working to build that awareness and uptake by spotlighting its responsive support providers.

Here are some ways you can help us spotlight your offerings:

Update or expand your profile on the Alliance website. All responsive support providers are listed on the National Allies page with a description of their services. Any changes? (You can also share changes with your policy director.)

Share state examples. Advocates often don't fully grasp what you can do for them until they hear an example. Can you describe an example (or two or three) of some support you provided that that was successful and would be of interest to other states?

Provide a testimonial quote. We've found that advocates in the network trust each other's advice and opinions. Can you share a short testimonial quote for a state advocate?

If you don't have good state examples yet or a testimonial, no problem! Just write a quick "pitch," and we'll use that, instead.

Is there a person that's best for people to reach out to? The Alliance in the past has facilitated the responsive support "matchmaking," but advocates increasingly prefer to reach out directly for help. To whom and how should they reach out to you?
