Over the course of this series, participants have explored Native history, sovereignty, governance, family and community systems, cultural humility, communication, collaboration, and Native-led approaches to change. Understanding these topics is an important first step. And meaningful partnership requires translating that knowledge into action.
In this final session, participants will apply the concepts explored throughout the series to real-world scenarios and challenges. Through case studies, guided discussion, and collaborative problem-solving, participants will examine common situations that arise when engaging with Native communities, building partnerships, developing policy initiatives, and supporting Native children and families.
Join us for our final webinar in the We Are Still Here series: Applying Learning to Practice: Reflection, Case Studies, and Action Planning on Wednesday, July 22, 3PM ET / 12PM PT
Drawing on lessons from previous sessions, participants will consider questions such as: What does meaningful engagement look like in practice? How can organizations respond when challenges arise? What approaches help build trust and strengthen relationships over time? How can systems better support Tribal sovereignty and Native-led priorities? This interactive session is designed to move beyond theory and into application.
Participants will be encouraged to reflect on their own work, learn from one another’s experiences, and identify practical strategies they can bring back to their organizations and communities.
As we conclude the series, we recognize that this learning journey does not end here. Building authentic relationships with Native Nations and communities is an ongoing practice — one that requires curiosity, humility, accountability, and action.
This webinar is the eighth and final session in the Alliance for Early Success Native Communities Learning Project: We Are Still Here. Access recordings of past webinars here.
