Julia leads the ongoing development and execution of investor engagement strategies and systems to ensure the Alliance’s continued growth. She ensures that the relationships with current and potential investors are strong and built on aligned values and priorities.
Julia brings more than eighteen years of experience in mission advancement, philanthropy, and fundraising across 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations that serve kids and families on local, regional, and national scales. She has helped secure more than $38 million from public and private philanthropic sources and has deep experience in full-cycle grants management, proposal and case development, strategic revenue planning and diversification, and building donor engagement programs.
Prior to joining the Alliance, Julia founded Takada Insights in 2023, a consulting practice that partners with non-profit and public sector leaders on revenue strategy, federal and foundation grant applications, and major donor cultivation. Earlier in her career, Julia also held development leadership positions with the Texas Public Charter Schools Association, Collegiate Academies, and KIPP New Orleans Schools, and managed grantmaking for the Institute of Mental Hygiene, a philanthropic foundation in New Orleans.
Julia has a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and lives in Austin, Texas, with her two sons.
