Leadership
We Are Still Here is led by Tara Manthey (Osage Nation) and Stephanie Cote (Anishinaabe), advised by a committee of Alliance grantees with Native heritage, and supported by Alliance staff.
Together, this leadership group co-developed a process to address our gaps in knowledge and understanding, and to inform an approach to culturally-safe collaboration. The Advisory Committee helps shape the overall learning arc of We Are Still Here, including identifying potential topics and speakers for webinars, keeping the Alliance staff and contractors accountable to our intended purpose, and helping the Alliance and our network of advocates learn how to partner in genuine ways with Tribes and urban Native communities.
