State Levers for Increasing Access to Family Economic Security Benefits

With Medicaid unwinding and other limits proposed for federal benefits programs, states have an important role in ensuring whether and how low-income families have continued access to income supports. Your colleagues in Connecticut, Indiana, and Montana shared their campaigns to improve access to federal benefits and state-level tax credits, and national specialists from Georgetown Center for Children and Families and the National Center on Child Poverty provided updates on the latest federal action and state policy shifts that impact access. 

Participants workshopped options and walked away from the session with some ideas for championing family income support policies in their own states.
